Soda Springs guests paid $65 to $75 per week, which covered the room, meals, a saddle horse, tack, use of the swimming pool that was heated with water from Soda Springs, and a guide as needed. The rate for children under 12 was $50; for children under 5 attended by a nurse, $35. Guests often spent money on accoutrements, including cowboy hats, riding cloths, boots, and riding accessories like saddles, spurs, vests, and chaps. (Courtesy of William Cowan.)

Virginia Lowdermilk is pictured at the Soda Springs corral around 1930. Romaine Lowdermilk was a pioneer western music artist who appeared regularly on the WLS Barn Dance. He and Virginia also served on the staff of the Arizona Biltmore, learning the hospitality business and cultivating guests looking for a more realistic and rural western experience.
